This is my tumblelog. It's much more simplistic than a blog, it's just random snippets of things really. Some I've created, many I haven't.

Learn Lightroom 2.0 - Basics: 03 Rate and review your images

Sweet, got a great backup idea from this. First import EVERYTHING onto an external HD, where they just sit. Then, import everything onto my computer where I do my pick/rejects and DELETE what I don’t deem as a “keeper”. Then have JungleDisk/S3 auto backup those keepers offsite. This should solve all my issues (well most of them).

My wife’s best friend is getting married on Friday and the rehearsal dinner is tomorrow night. It’s in door at a restaurant so I’m expecting either florescent or incandescent lighting. I haven’t tried to CC my flash before so this should be interesting. Some notes to remember:

CTO (Color Change Orange) Gels are used to decrease the color temperature of your flash to match tungsten and incandescent lighting.

CTB (Color Change Blue) Gels are used to increase the color temperature of your flash to match overcast lighting outdoors.

Plusgreen (Window Green) Gels are used to match fluorescent lighting. Since fluorescent bulbs vary in the amount of green they emit, you will want to try the various strengths of Plusgreen gels to see what works best.

Flexibits | Cameras

An application that lets you choose what to launch when you plug various cameras in. Pretty cool, I have 4 different devices that register as cameras and I use different programs for most of them.

Early Innovations | GPSPhotoLinker Overview

Maybe I wouldn’t have to write something after all. But it would be nice to have Lightroom kick off an applescript to automatically link up the data.
